  • Closing date: Sept 11, 2022

Purpose of challenge

Innovative solutions for the localization of MOX-type (Mixture of uranium and plutonium Oxides) radioactive materials in glove boxes (cf. photo above) on the Melox site.

Description and expectations

Orano is looking for innovative solutions that make it possible to localize areas of accumulation of radioactive materials (MOX) in glove boxes, within the shortest time possible (less than a minute).

The areas of accumulation of material are not necessarily directly visible.
The accuracy of localization is around 50 cm x 50 cm.
The solution must be easy to implement, rapid and able to be used by any operator.
It is not required to quantify the material.
