Update on the situation in Niger

Situation update - September 8th, 2023

Orano's management continues to monitor events with the utmost attention, in constant liaison with employees on the ground.

The local teams are mobilized to ensure the continuity of activities at the Arlit and Akokan sites, and at our head office in Niamey, with support from the teams in France.

Given the ongoing closure of Niger's main supply corridor and diminishing stocks of chemical products, the SOMAÏR site has implemented a gradual reorganization of work by bringing forward its maintenance activities.

These measures will mitigate the impact of logistical difficulties and enable production to resume under optimum conditions as soon as the situation permits.

Meanwhile, the COMINAK remediation project continues in line with the Group's commitments and the project schedule.

Concerning the IMOURAREN project, the studies and other activities are continuing according to schedule.

The safety and security of personnel and the preservation of the environment remain our priority.

Orano's management offers its support to the teams and thanks all personnel involved for their outstanding professionalism.
