Jean-Luc Palayer Appointed President and CEO of Orano USA
BETHESDA, Md., November 20, 2023 – Jean-Luc Palayer has been appointed the new President and CEO of Orano USA LLC, Orano’s operations in the United States. Former CEO Amir Vexler is stepping
down to pursue opportunities outside the company.
“The unique strengths and 24 years of industry experience that Jean-Luc brings to leading our U.S. business will help create new opportunities for growth and development,” said Nicolas Maes, CEO of Orano Group. “Our company’s
active support for global nuclear fuel supply, advanced reactors, and secure nuclear materials management are all present and dynamic interests for Orano in the U.S. market.”
He will also serve as interim President of TN Americas, Orano’s U.S. nuclear materials transport and storage business, where he held roles as Chief Operating Officer and Vice President of Global Supply Chain.
Palayer holds a Master of Engineering degree from École des Mines and an Executive MBA from Georgetown University.
