A 50-YEAR LEGACY OF FRENCH EXPERTISE

From the birth of Cogema in 1976 to the creation of Areva in 2001 – which then became Orano in 2018 – our group has contributed to half a century of industrialization of civil nuclear energy that has fueled our nation’s economic growth. A nuclear industry that embodies the excellence of French technology, recognized throughout the world.

Since Orano made the strategic decision to refocus on its fuel cycle business, the group has safeguarded the future of its processing and recycling activity at La Hague, where the energy future of France will be supported by the vast Aval du Futur project. Drawing on its expert knowledge of nuclear materials, Orano is transforming its expertise into concrete solutions to meet the challenges of climate, energy and society.

As the revival of the nuclear industry continues around the world, and the key role played by low-carbon, sovereign and competitive electricity is confirmed, an ambitious future is emerging for our group and its 18,500 employees. This gives meaning to our mission.

The story continues.
