Orano TN, a subsidiary of Orano USA, is a leader in the American market for used nuclear fuel storage, radioactive waste management and fuel transportation logistics.  The company offers a complete line of products and related services to the transportation, storage, and engineering sectors operating in the fuel cycle materials market. 

Orano TN is seeking a Nuclear Engineer to support the Engineering, Design and Licensing work performed as part of its Design and Licensing projects.

 


The Nuclear Engineer will perform a variety of Engineering, Design and Licensing tasks including but not limited to:

  • Performing criticality analysis calculation in support of design, development and licensing
  • Performing source term and shielding analysis calculations in support of design, development and licensing
  • Benchmarking of the criticality and shielding analyses methodologies
  • Preparing nuclear analysis calculations in support to the Safety Analysis and/or Technical Reports as part of TN Americas LLC’s licensing submittals to the NRC

Ideal qualifications

All candidates must meet the following minimum requirements in order to be considered for this opportunity.  Candidates who exceed minimum qualifications may be considered for a higher level position:

  • BS in Nuclear Engineering, plus 2-3 years related experience. An advanced degree (MS or MBA) may substitute for 1-2 years and (PhD) may substitute for 2-3 years of related work experience. In applicable states a PE license will be accepted in lieu of a 4 year engineering degree.
  • General knowledge in computer codes (SCALE, MCNP) for performing criticality and shielding calculations
  • A general understanding of the principles of nuclear engineering particularly in the areas of reactor physics and radiation transport

 

Preferred: > 5 years of reactor site design engineering experience

Please Note: The provided pay information is a guideline. Your offered salary is based upon experience, qualifications, geographic location, as well as market and business considerations.
Pay Range: $100,000-$138,000 per year
