Job description

Join our Orano Federal Services (OFS) team to help meet current and future challenges to build the clean energy world of tomorrow. By joining the Orano Group, you will be a part of a leading international player in the nuclear industry.

OFS, a subsidiary of Orano, is seeking a Designer I to prepare drawings and sketches using CAD workstations and other design criteria and technical manuals.  The Designer will perform layout and design work and utilize theoretical and practical engineering knowledge, working closely with engineers to ensure coordination of designs.

 

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Performs layout and design work from the basic data supplied utilizing theoretical and practical engineering knowledge
  • Ensures conformance to applicable standards and codes (e.g., ASME Y14.5, ANSI A2.4, etc.), as well as company policies and procedures
  • Consults with engineering staff and technicians to ensure compliance with design specifications and has a working understanding of the engineering design process.
  • May apply advanced techniques in CAD and standard design applications utilizing this equipment.

Ideal qualifications

All candidates must meet the following minimum requirements in order to be considered for this opportunity. Candidates who exceed minimum qualifications may be considered for a higher level position:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Completed coursework in drafting and CAD, plus 6-8 years of related experience
  • A.A. degree may substitute for equivalent years of work

 

The following experience and knowledge are desired and will be used to differentiate all candidates who apply for this position:

  • Experience using Solidworks® CAD and AutoCAD® products.
  • Experience with GD&T

Please Note: The provided pay information is a guideline. Your offered salary is based upon experience, qualifications, geographic location, and market & business considerations.

Salary Range: $80,000-$90,000
