Job description
Orano USA is seeking an I&C Engineer II to support Project IKE. This role involves designing and implementing instrumentation and control systems for nuclear facility operations. Under general supervision and reporting to the I&C Engineering Lead, the engineer will contribute to system reliability, safety, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and specify instrumentation and control systems.
- Develop control logic, loop diagrams, and system architecture.
- Support installation, testing, and troubleshooting of I&C systems.
- Ensure compliance with ISA, IEEE, and nuclear standards.
- Collaborate with electrical and mechanical teams to integrate control systems.
- Participate in technical documentation and design reviews.

Ideal qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- BS in Electrical, Mechanical, or Control Systems Engineering, plus 2–3 years of experience.
- Advanced degrees or PE license may substitute for experience or education.
- Must be eligible for security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with PLC/DCS systems and nuclear-grade instrumentation.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity and control system reliability standards.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to remain in a stationary position, walk, kneel, and crouch as needed.
- Regular use of a computer and other office equipment.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
