Orano Canada is pleased to announce the appointment of Pascal Bastien as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Orano Canada Inc. as of September 15, 2025.
Mr. Bastien joined Orano Group at the end of 2006 in Niger as Operations Director for SOMAÏR. In 2011, he took over responsibility for the Performance of the Mining Business Unit in Paris, France. He then joined KATCO, a joint venture between Orano and Kazakhstan’s Kazatomptom, as Chief Engineer from 2013 to 2016.
Mr. Bastien has held several positions in Niger since 2016, including that of representative of Orano Mining and CEO of Imouraren SA. From January 2022 to August 2025, he was the CEO of KATCO in Kazakhstan.

Continuing as Executive Advisor until the end of 2025, Jim Corman will retire from Orano Canada after 40 years with the company and its predecessors. Mr. Corman held many senior roles within Orano Canada including General Manager of the McClean Lake Operation and was appointed President and CEO in 2019.
