Support design documentation including system flow diagrams, duct layouts, equipment specifications, load calculations, and control sequences under the guidance of senior engineers. Support review of EPC contractor deliverables to verify compliance with project requirements, safety standards, and quality expectations. Apply applicable codes and standards (ASHRAE, SMACNA, NFPA, DOE/NRC) in execution of assigned engineering tasks. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams — including process, mechanical, electrical, and nuclear safety engineers — to support integration of HVAC systems into facility design. Assist in reviewing vendor specifications, submittals, and shop drawings for technical accuracy. Participate in safety and reliability assessments including ventilation performance and confinement integrity evaluations. Conduct site visits, field assessments, and inspections to support design verification and construction activities. Contribute to testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of HVAC systems during project execution. Support project planning efforts including estimating, scheduling, and risk assessments as directed by senior engineers.

Under broad supervision, the Systems Engineering I-II plans develops, coordinates, and directs a variety of complex engineering tasks. Overview The Engineering Manager will lead and coordinate all engineering activities for the owner/operator organization of a nuclear uranium enrichment facility. This role requires broad, multidisciplinary engineering expertise and strong leadership skills to ensure that all engineering work is technically sound, regulatory-compliant, and aligned with the project’s safety, schedule, and budget requirements. The successful candidate will serve as the primary technical interface for internal stakeholders and project partners. The role spans conceptual design, detailed design oversight, construction support, commissioning, and facility operations planning   Key Responsibilities   • Lead and coordinate all engineering disciplines (Mechanical, Instrumentation & Controls, Electrical, Civil/Structural, HVAC) throughout the project lifecycle. • Serve as the Engineering Point of Contact for the owner organization; approve technical decisions, oversee design development, and ensure integration across systems. • Ensure engineering deliverables comply with NRC regulations, DOE expectations, and ASME/ANSI standards applicable to enrichment and nuclear facility design. • Manage interfaces with the Systems Engineering teams, licensing teams, EPC contractor(s) and equipment vendors. • Support technical reviews, risk assessments, and design verifications. • Support Integrated Safety Analysis (ISA) development and licensing documentation. • Provide input to procurement specifications and ensure equipment and systems meet design and safety requirements. • Develop and manage the engineering schedule and support budgeting for engineering resources. • Facilitate technical resolution of field issues during construction and commissioning. • Champion Configuration Management and Design Control processes.
