Job description

Responsibilities:

·         Assist with the achievement of regulatory objectives of maximizing performance and minimizing impacts to operational timelines

·         Support the project approval process

·         Support cross-disciplinary, integrated and collaborative project development process

·         Assist in the preparation of submissions to provincial and federal regulatory agencies including the Saskatchewan Ministry of Environment and the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission

·         Assist in tracking regulatory commitments and obligations

·         Assist in the management of regulatory records

·         Assist with the review of the best practices, policies and regulations in the field of health, safety and environmental protection

·         Embrace and support Operational Excellence efforts and OE Culture

·         Comply with all Orano health, safety and environmental policies, practices and procedures

·         Promote and adhere to Orano Canada’s values: Customer Satisfaction, Continuous Improvement, Respect and People Development, Cohesion and Team Spirit, and Exemplarity, Integrity, Responsibility

·         Other duties as assigned

 

Work Location & Schedule: 

·         Saskatoon Corporate Office

·         8 hours/day; 40 hours/week (8:00 am – 4:30 pm)

·         Occasional Travel to the McClean Lake Operation

·         4 month term; May – August

Ideal qualifications

Skills and Qualifications for the position include:

·         Strong verbal and written communication skills in the English language

·         University/Technical school attendee/graduate with experience in a field relating to health and safety, environmental protection, natural sciences (including but not limited to chemistry, geology, biology), mathematics, or mining

·         Preference will be given to individuals displaying strong abilities in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and SharePoint

·         Technical and/or report writing abilities an asset

·         Open to learning and takes initiative

·         Excellent analytical and interpersonal communication skills

·         Ability to work well independently and in multi-disciplinary teams

·         Honest, ethical, and respects confidentiality
