Job description

Orano Canada is a leading producer of uranium in Canada, working to power the future with clean energy!

 

Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, you’ll help guide warehouse operations, mentor team members, and lead improvement projects to enhance efficiency and collaboration. From managing materials and inventory to supporting site personnel with professionalism, this role offers a diverse range of responsibilities. Responsibilities include: 

·         All handling, management and distribution requirements related to the shipping and receiving of materials

·         Train and mentor warehouse persons on stock management processes

·         Gather and organize parts as required for Work Orders (kitting)

·         Warehouse bin location organization and maintenance

·         Warehousing upgrades and optimization project lead

·         Issuing of material from inventory and electronic updating of material records

·         Perform all necessary stock coding requirements for new items

·         Operate warehouse equipment including telehandler, forklift and semi truck

·         Provide high level of customer service to site personnel

·         Provide all necessary support to progress inventory optimization initiatives

 

Work Location & Schedule: 

·         McClean Lake

·         14 day in/ 14 day out rotating schedule

·         Normally an 11 hour work day, although some activity outside of normal working hours may be required

·         This position is physically demanding, must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

·         Ability to work rotating shifts (days and nights)

Ideal qualifications

Skills and Qualifications for the position include:

·         Interprovincial Journeyperson Parts Technician

·         Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience working in an industrial warehouse environment

·         Experience using Excel considered an asset

·         Experience using SAP considered an asset

·         Grade 12 diploma or equivalent

·         Proficient in the operation of mobile equipment

·         Must hold a valid Class 5 Driver’s License

·         A Class 1A License is considered an asset

·         Must be able to work effectively with members of other departments and promote a collaborative and inclusive work environment

·         Must be highly dependable and able to work independently with little supervision

·         Strong ability to multitask effectively and stay organized

·         Must have strong communication skills, both verbal and written

·         Attention to detail with strong capacity to deal with numerical information

·         Preference will be given to Residents of Saskatchewan’s north (RSN)
