Job description

The Training Advisor propels training initiatives at the mill and mining facilities, with a strong focus on onboarding new employees and contractors. If this sounds like a career path for you, we encourage you to apply!

 

Responsibilities include: 

·         Facilitate in-person training sessions, including new employee and contractor orientations, onboarding activities, camp tours, and leadership training sessions

·         Develop and update training programs using Orano’s Systematic Approach to Training (SAT)

·         Prepare/revise training materials such as course PowerPoints, reference material and other training aids

·         Scheduling - work closely with the safety and PME trainers to meet site training needs and requirements

·         Collaborate with departments to identify training gaps and future needs

·         Training Needs Analysis - Maintain the Training Database, including compliance dashboards, training matrices, KPI reporting, and gap analysis

·         Support the Information Management System (IMS) by preparing and updating procedures, work instructions, and forms

·         Ensure compliance with provincial mining, safety, audit, and certification requirements

·         Comply with all Orano health, safety and environmental policies, practices and procedures

·         Promote and adhere to Orano Canada’s values: Customer Satisfaction, Continuous Improvement, Respect and People Development, Cohesion and Team Spirit, and Exemplarity, Integrity, Responsibility

·         Other duties as assigned

 

Work Location & Schedule: 

·            McClean Lake

·            14 day in/ 14 day out rotating schedule

·            Normally an 11 hour work day, although some activity outside of normal working hours may be required

Fly Day- This position will fly in and fly out on Tuesday

 

Pick-Up Points: Saskatoon, Prince Albert, La Ronge, Buffalo Narrows and the designated communities in the Athabasca region of Uranium City, Stony Rapids, Fond du Lac, and Wollaston.

Ideal qualifications

Qualities and Skills, we’re seeking:

·         Bachelor’s degree in education, or Certificate in Adult Education or equivalent in experience is an asset

·         3 – 5 years’ experience in an educational or training environment

·         Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and virtual training platforms

·         Proficient Microsoft Office skills

·         Proficiency with data management and SharePoint; familiarity with SAP

·         Knowledge of systematic training development and evaluation (SAT)

·         Comfortable, self-assured, and engaging when presenting or facilitating discussions with groups of all sizes

·         Excellent oral and written communication skills

·         Dedicated to advancing safety performance and improvement

·         Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to schedule training, coordinating multiple activities simultaneously
