SPREADING INFORMATION - AREVA LA HAGUE

Every year AREVA la Hague publishes reports that make information on site activity, safety, security, and environmental monitoring openly available.

In accordance with the law and with the AREVA Group's transparency guidelines, the site regularly publishes information on its activities in particular in the economic, environmental, social and societal domains.

In parallel to this proactive approach, all of the Groups Basic Nuclear Installation (INB) operators issues, in accordance to the Code of the environment L. 125-15 article, an annual report covering in particular the provisions taken regarding nuclear safety and health and physics. These widely distributed reports also offer the opportunity to present all of the Site’s activities.

These reports, published since 2007, can be downloaded on the internet site.

Finally, any request formulated by an external stakeholder within the framework the Code of the environment *L. 125-15 article article must be addressed to the AREVA Hague Site’s Communications Department.

* Requests concerning risks connected to ionizing radiations exposure which can result from this activity and the measures of nuclear safety and radiation protection taken to prevent or reduce these risks or exposures.

>> Status of the waste recovering and conditionning projects of the AREVA la Hague site - on 2016

This document presents the status of AREVA Hague site’s various waste recovery and conditioning projects in order to inform the public. This complies with the Nuclear Safety Authority’s n°2014-DC-0472 decision of December 9th, 2014. In parallel, this report is transmitted to the Local Information Commission.

>> Processing of used fuel of foreign origin in La Hague facilities 2016

This report, required by the Code of the environment * L 542-2-1-II article, stemming from the article 8 of the Sustainable Management of materials and radioactive Waste Law of June 28th, 2006, presents the inventory of materials and radioactive waste on the AREVA Hague site. It also gives the history of French and foreign fuel treatment and recycling of as well as their contracts.

The report is transmitted to the Local Information Commission. It is also available by simple request to the AREVA Hague Site’s Communications Department.

SPREADING INFORMATION - MELOX

Aside from regular information with the Local Information Commission (LIC) of Marcoule-Gard in France, AREVA MELOX has been publishing an Nuclear Safety and Radiation Protection Report since 2007, in compliance with legal requirements on transparency and nuclear materials security.
